Waly Malik Faye, a 16-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 4, 2021, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Faye was found suffering from a gunshot wound near the playground in Brentwood Park, located along the 3300 block of Vinson Court. A 911 caller reported seeing blood coming from the teenager's head, and he was rushed to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Faye was a freshman at Sanderson High School, and his untimely death left the community in shock
