Shanta Maurice Lomax, a 36-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on June 23, 2014, in the 900 block of East Lafayette Street in Salisbury, NC. Lomax, who was originally from Salisbury but had moved to Alabama, was visiting his hometown when the incident occurred. Police responded to a call for gunshots and found Lomax lying behind an apartment building with gunshot wounds.
