Shareef Abdul Muhammad, a 29-year-old African American male, was tragically killed during a home invasion on November 11, 2014, in Durham, North Carolina. Muhammad, a well-known and respected track coach, was shot to death inside his home on Rosewood Street, just east of North Carolina Central University's campus. According to police reports, two unidentified men wearing hoodies and armed with guns forced their way into the house and attempted to rob the residents.
