Gilbert Stanley, a 62-year-old man from Four Oaks, North Carolina, tragically passed away on November 17, 2014. His death was the result of a gunshot wound, and authorities believe he was shot by his stepson, Brandon Lee Slade. Stanley's body was discovered on November 19, 2014, in a wooded area near Thomas Road and N.C. Highway 96, approximately five miles from where the shooting was reported.
