Khammone Soulasinh, a 22-year-old male of Hmong ethnicity, tragically lost his life on November 18, 2014, in a home invasion in Mount Gilead, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 3:20 a.m. on Highway 109, a few miles north of Mount Gilead. According to reports, Khammone Soulasinh was found shot on the porch and died en route to the hospital. The home invasion also resulted in another victim, Vilakhone Soulasinh, being shot and flown to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
