Donald Christian McIntosh, an 18-year-old male from Fayetteville, NC, was tragically found dead inside a vehicle on June 29, 2015. The incident occurred around 11:48 p.m. when police officers were called to the 2300 block of Painters Mill Drive off Bingham Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered McIntosh's body inside a vehicle parked behind a new retail building that housed a convenience store, nail salon, barber, and sandwich shops.
Authorities learned that McIntosh had gone to the location to sell narcotics, during which he was robbed and subsequently shot.
Following the investigation, two teenagers were arrested, and a third suspect was sought in connection with the fatal shooting. Officers spotted the suspects' vehicle a few miles from the scene and took 18-year-old Malina Deneice Woods and 19-year-old Victoria Antoinette Wilson into custody. Both were charged with first-degree murder, sell and deliver marijuana, and conspiracy to sell and deliver marijuana. They were held without bond at the Cumberland County Detention Center.
Authorities continued their search for 17-year-old Gregory Anthony Wilson, who was wanted for first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, sell and deliver marijuana, and conspiracy to sell and deliver marijuana. The investigation revealed that McIntosh had been involved in a drug deal gone wrong, leading to his tragic death.
The case garnered significant attention, and the Fayetteville Police Department urged anyone with information to come forward. The community mourned the loss of Donald Christian McIntosh, a young man whose life was cut short due to the violent circumstances surrounding his death.
