Cathy Myers Simmons, a 52-year-old woman from Elon, North Carolina, passed away on July 2, 2015. Her death was the result of a tragic murder-suicide incident. Cathy, who was white, was found dead in her home alongside her husband, Kevin Simmons, who was 53 years old. The couple was discovered by the Alamance County Sheriff's Office after a distressing call from Kevin, who reported that he had shot his wife and intended to turn the gun on himself.
