Bakari Jones, a 28-year-old African American male from Greenville, NC, tragically lost his life on July 14, 2015. The incident occurred during a drug transaction in the 3200 block area of Gordon Drive in Greenville. Jones was shot in the chest and managed to make his way to Vidant Medical Center, where he provided investigators with crucial information about the shooting before succumbing to his injuries overnight.
