Derrick Tyrone Hatfield, a 36-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on November 12, 2015, in Burlington, North Carolina. Derrick was found deceased in a vehicle from an apparent gunshot wound. The incident occurred in the 800 block of Broad Street, Burlington, NC. Early in the investigation, detectives observed a light-colored SUV leaving the area on video surveillance.
