Timothy Eugene Phifer Jr., a 24-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 5, 2016, in Greensboro, North Carolina. His death was the result of a fatal shooting that occurred in the parking lot of the Colony Square Apartments. Phifer was found with a gunshot wound by a resident returning home from work. The incident took place around 12:45 a.m., and despite the gunfire, no one called 911 to report the shooting.
