A man is found dead in an apartment parking lot
On September 16, 2000, Eddie Cruz was shot and killed at the Overland Crest Apartments, located at 3900 Overland Heights in Greensboro, North Carolina. Police responded to reports of a shooting at around 1:18 a.m. and found Cruz lying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. Despite the immediate response, Cruz was pronounced dead on the scene. Investigators quickly ruled the case a homicide and have been working to gather information ever since.
