Giovanni "Gio" Gambino, a 40-year-old male from Alexis, North Carolina, was tragically killed on February 29, 2016. The incident occurred in the quiet town of Alexis, where Gio lived with his wife, Crystal Gambino. The couple had a tumultuous marriage, and on that fateful day, Crystal discovered Gio in a compromising situation with two other individuals, Geoffrey Gilliland, a 39-year-old male, and Stephanie Sanchez, a 33-year-old female. All three were found naked in the bedroom, having engaged in a sexual encounter that Crystal interrupted.
Upon discovering the scene, Crystal Gambino, in a fit of rage, grabbed a .44 Magnum and began shooting. She fired approximately 15 times, reloading the weapon at least twice. Gio Gambino, along with Gilliland and Sanchez, were all fatally shot.
