Terence Jerome Gardner, a 37-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on November 7, 2016, in New Bern, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when officers from the New Bern Police Department responded to a shots fired call in the 2900 block of Madison Avenue around 12:36 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Gardner unresponsive.
