Misael Garcia Vasquez, a 23-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically killed on December 19, 2016, in Gastonia, North Carolina. Misael, who aspired to be a motivational speaker, was working as a waiter at the time of his death. On the night of the incident, he was parked in his red Toyota Camry in front of the Gray Franklin Express Mart when he was shot in the head during an attempted robbery. He was transported to CaroMont Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
