Marquil Jamal Cooper, a 24-year-old African American male from Jacksonville, North Carolina, tragically passed away on January 4, 2017. His death was the result of an apparent shooting at his residence on Myrtlewood Court. Jacksonville Police responded to a report of a shooting at 12:15 a.m. on January 5, 2017, and found Marquil Cooper dead at the scene.
