Miguel Baza Hernandez, a 45-year-old Hispanic male, tragically lost his life on January 24, 2017, in Magnolia, North Carolina. The incident occurred early in the morning on Isham-Frederick Road, where deputies found Hernandez in a ditch suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries. The Duplin County Sheriff's Office reported that the shooting was the result of a drug deal gone bad, and the case was classified as an isolated incident.
