Roderick Nathaniel Davis, a 35-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 11, 2017, in Selma, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 2:00 AM in the parking lot of the Rumba Club on US 301 South, near the Smithfield city limits. Davis approached a vehicle occupied by four individuals and opened fire on the driver, striking him twice. In response, one of the passengers in the vehicle returned fire, fatally wounding Davis.
