David B. Eadie, a 58-year-old man from Charlotte, NC, was tragically killed on February 14, 2017. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call at 5:55 p.m. in the 2700 block of Oakcrest Place. Upon arrival, officers found Eadie with an apparent gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of emergency medical personnel, Eadie was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CMPD's Crime Scene Search unit processed the scene and collected physical evidence.
Representatives from various units, including the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Homicide Prosecution Team, Real Time Crime, Special Investigations, Homicide Support Group, K9 Unit, and Operations Command, were involved in the investigation.
As of the latest reports, no arrests have been made in connection with Eadie's death. The investigation is ongoing, and the CMPD has urged anyone with information about the incident to contact their Homicide Unit. The lack of arrests and suspects has left the case unresolved, and the community continues to seek justice for David B. Eadie.
