James Russell Lee, a 68-year-old man from Princeton, NC, tragically died on March 4, 2017. He was fatally shot by his 37-year-old son, Evan Thomas Lee, during what appeared to be a family argument. The incident occurred at their family home on Highway 70-A in Johnston County. Evan Lee was arrested on the night of the shooting and charged with first-degree murder. According to court records, Evan Lee had previously been sentenced to probation for communicating threats in 2014.
