Javius Delshaun Murphy, a 16-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 12, 2017, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Colby Court. Javius was found wounded and was subsequently taken to UNC Nash Healthcare, where he succumbed to his injuries. The circumstances surrounding his death were not random, as detectives indicated that there was information suggesting otherwise.
