Naoko Kaup, an 84-year-old Japanese woman, passed away on July 16, 2017, in Jacksonville, NC. She was a Hiroshima survivor and had severe medical issues, including dementia. The circumstances surrounding her death were tragic, as it was part of a suspected murder-suicide involving her husband, Milton Kaup, aged 74. Both were found deceased in their home on Oak Wood Road.
