Ronald Taylor, a 51-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 23, 2017, in Edenton, North Carolina. The incident occurred late at night when officers of the Edenton Police Department responded to a reported shooting at 215 E. Church Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Ronald Taylor lying unresponsive on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate CPR efforts and transportation to Vidant Chowan Hospital, Taylor succumbed to his injuries.
