Dwayne Gregory Jr., a 24-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on the night of May 18, 2022, in Edenton, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 11:37 p.m. in the 100 block of Cox Avenue. When police arrived at the scene, they found Gregory with fatal injuries. The Edenton Police Department quickly determined that the shooting was not a random act of violence, indicating that Gregory was specifically targeted.
