Timothy Brown Jr., a 21-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on December 22, 2017, in Burlington, North Carolina. The incident occurred on a Friday evening when Brown was found wounded in a North Carolina home. The initial charge against the suspect, a 16-year-old girl, was assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. However, after Brown succumbed to his injuries two days later at the hospital, the charge was upgraded to involuntary manslaughter.
