Diego Altamirano, a 39-year-old male of Mexican descent, was found dead on March 26, 2018, in Franklin, North Carolina. His body, along with that of his 34-year-old brother Francisco Altamirano, was discovered in the bed of a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado truck that had been abandoned on Jack Cabe Road. The truck bed had a cover over it, concealing the bodies. Both brothers had gunshot wounds, but the official cause of death could not be determined until the autopsies were completed.
