Christopher Scott Childres, a 49-year-old man from Marion, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on April 11, 2018. The incident occurred at a residence on Lonon Lane in Marion, where authorities discovered the bodies of Childres, Kacey Case Haney, a 39-year-old woman, and Jeffrey Dale Haney, a 48-year-old man. The McDowell County Sheriff's Office responded to a call at 6:30 a.m. and found the three individuals with fatal gunshot wounds.
