Floyd Anthony "Andy" Evans, a 65-year-old white male, passed away on June 16, 2018, in Fremont, North Carolina. Evans was found dead in a garage at one of his properties on Evans Farm Road. The Wayne County Sheriff's Office discovered his body, and it was determined that he died from an apparent gunshot wound. Evans was a well-known figure in the community, having served as the former mayor of Fremont and holding various leadership positions throughout his life.
