Ali Farad Hasan, a 25-year-old male, was fatally shot on October 13, 2018, at the Sedgefield Square Apartments in Greensboro, North Carolina. The incident occurred early in the morning, and a woman was also injured in the shooting but was transported to the hospital in stable condition. The Greensboro police identified Hasan as the victim and launched a homicide investigation.
Following the incident, Tadarrius Martrez Devon Davis, a 26-year-old male from High Point, North Carolina, was
arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection to Hasan's death. Davis also faced charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and assault by pointing a gun. The police have not released a motive for the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing.
The shooting raised concerns about security measures at the apartment complex, as it was the second fatal shooting in the area within a week. The Greensboro police have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers.
