Patricia May Ladebush Grant, a 72-year-old woman from Greensboro, NC, tragically passed away on July 1, 2021. She was affectionately known as "Pat" and was a well-loved manager at a Speedway gas station. On the day of her death, she was shot by a 19-year-old named Avion Bell, who demanded money from her and shot her when she refused. Bell was arrested six days later and has been charged with first-degree murder. He remains in jail awaiting trial.
