Rashiya Melton, an 18-year-old woman from Cedar Grove, North Carolina, tragically died on October 28, 2018, after being shot in the head at a Halloween party held at a barn on Mill Creek Road. The party, which had around 300 attendees, turned violent when shots were fired, and Rashiya was found behind the barn, unconscious but breathing. She was airlifted to UNC Hospital but succumbed to her injuries the following day.
