Shantelle Pope, a 27-year-old woman from Greenville, NC, was tragically shot on the night of November 13, 2018. She was standing on Tyson Street around 9:30 PM when the incident occurred. Despite being rushed to Vidant Medical Center, she succumbed to her injuries two days later. The Greenville Police Department quickly classified the case as a homicide investigation, believing that Shantelle was not the intended target of the shooting.
The investigation led to the arrest of two suspects.
