Chad Lee Kennedy, a 38-year-old white male from Stony Point, North Carolina, was found dead on February 9, 2019, at his residence on Mount Wesley Church Road. Kennedy's death was the result of a shooting incident that also claimed the life of Mark Jefferson Furey, a 57-year-old white male from Taylorsville. The bodies of both men were discovered in different areas inside Kennedy's residence around noon on the day of the incident.
