Crystal Johnson Barker, a 43-year-old woman from Vale, NC, tragically lost her life on April 23, 2019. Crystal, who was of Caucasian ethnicity, was shot and killed by her husband, Joseph Wayne Barker, during a domestic dispute. On that fateful day, Joseph barricaded Crystal inside a bedroom of their residence, locking the door and blocking it with his body so their teenage sons could not get inside.
