Tre’vis Rashad Hawkins, a 22-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 12, 2019, in Greensboro, North Carolina. On that fateful day, Greensboro Police officers responded to a call at 816 S. Elm Street, The Mill Club, where they found Tre’vis suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite efforts to save him, Tre’vis succumbed to his injuries.
The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, and upon arrival, officers discovered three individuals who had been shot. Tre’vis was the only fatality, while the other two victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect in the shooting was reported to be driving a green Dodge Challenger, but no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
In an effort to bring justice to Tre’vis and his family, Governor Roy Cooper announced a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder. This reward is in addition to the $2,000 already offered by Crime Stoppers. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities continue to seek any information that could help solve the case.
