Quinchelle Carr, a 30-year-old African American woman, was found dead in her Wilmington, North Carolina apartment on May 18, 2019. The Wilmington police responded to a call at the 600 block of North 30th Street around 9:30 a.m. and discovered Carr's body in her home in the Creekwood neighborhood. She had suffered five gunshot wounds: two to the head, two to the chest, and one to the leg. Both injuries to the head were fatal.
