Mario Witherspoon, a 29-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on October 24, 2019, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mario was found with a gunshot wound in the backyard of a residence on Rush Wind Drive. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the scene and pronounced him dead upon arrival. The investigation into his death revealed that Mario had been shot in the backyard of a home, leading to a homicide investigation.
