Zaeveon Hershel Tucker, a 17-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on October 29, 2019, in Durham, North Carolina. Zaeveon had just celebrated his 17th birthday a week prior to his untimely death. He was walking across Driver Street in front of Shepherd's House United Methodist Church around 2 p.m. when he was shot in the back by individuals driving by in a truck. Zaeveon collapsed in the church's front yard and was pronounced dead at the scene.
