Damien Donall Dancy, a 17-year-old African American male, was tragically found murdered on November 30, 2019, in Brogden, North Carolina. His body was discovered on Camp Trailee Road in Dudley, lying in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds. The Wayne County Sheriff's Office responded to a "shots fired" call around 3:20 a.m. and found Dancy deceased at the scene. An autopsy was scheduled to confirm the cause of death, which was determined to be from gunshot wounds.
