John Jermaine Ausby, a 42-year-old African American man from Weldon, North Carolina, was found dead on December 16, 2019. His body was discovered in a wooded area off Sycamore Street in Weldon, a week after a Silver Alert had been issued for him. The alert was initiated after his family reported him missing on December 9, 2019.
