Richard Sheldon Gilchrist, a 54-year-old man from Saint Pauls, NC, tragically passed away on January 3, 2020, due to injuries sustained from a gunshot wound. Richard was shot during a robbery on Christmas Day at a residence on Avery Road in Robeson County. He was found with the gunshot wound and was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, Richard succumbed to his injuries a week later.
