Kristopher Hunter Allen, a 43-year-old man from Saint Pauls, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on April 26, 2021. Born on May 20, 1977, in Robeson County, North Carolina, Kristopher, known as "Kris," was a dedicated diesel tech mechanic before founding South Eastern Power Washing and Lawncare. He was deeply cherished by his family and friends, leaving behind his wife of 25 years, Heather Allen, and their two daughters, Jaida and Lakoda Allen.
Kristopher's death was the result of a fatal shooting incident that occurred around 8 p.m. on Shaw Street in Saint Pauls. The police identified the suspect as Ra’Shawn Jones, a 19-year-old male from Saint Pauls. According to the authorities, Jones and Allen were involved in an ongoing dispute that escalated into a deadly confrontation. Both individuals were reportedly shooting at each other during the incident.
Following the shooting, Ra’Shawn Jones was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including misdemeanor larceny, breaking and entering, discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle, discharging a weapon within city limits, and possession of a stolen firearm. Jones was taken to the Robeson County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Kristopher's death was conducted by the St. Pauls Police Department, with Detective Bradley Rountree leading the case.
Kristopher's passing left a significant impact on his community, as he was known for his love of music, coaching, cooking, and driving big trucks. His funeral service was held on May 1, 2021, at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home in Saint Pauls, followed by his burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The community mourned the loss of a beloved friend and family member, whose life was cut short by a senseless act of violence.
