Calence Cody

In the summer of 2015, a senseless act of violence silenced a beloved member of a Detroit community. Clarence Cody, a 37-year-old man, was shot and killed in his own driveway on Pinehurst Street. Known affectionately as 'Clue' and the 'Mayor of Pinehurst,' Cody was a familiar and friendly face in his neighborhood. A few years prior to his death, an accident had left him disabled and reliant on a wheelchair, a fact that made his violent end all the more shocking to those who knew him.
