Deante Brown, a 28-year-old Black man, was tragically killed on September 6, 2020, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred during a confrontation with Da'Reem Dante Gaskin, who was later identified as the perpetrator. The altercation between Brown and Gaskin escalated into a physical fight, during which Gaskin shot Brown multiple times. Brown was subsequently transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
