Alphonso Thomas Cuomo III, a 30-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on September 27, 2020, in New Bern, North Carolina. The incident occurred during a domestic dispute at his residence on Sierra Drive. The Craven County Sheriff's Office received a call around 1 a.m. reporting the shooting. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Alphonso Cuomo III's body inside the residence, the apparent result of gunshot wounds.
