Khadafi Barnes, a 20-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on November 25, 2020, in Ayden, North Carolina. The incident occurred in front of a house on Fawn Road around 8:30 p.m. that night. Barnes was pronounced dead at the scene. The Ayden Police Department, along with the N.C. State Bureau of Investigations Fugitive & Missing Person Task Force and the Greenville Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension team, were involved in the investigation and subsequent ...
