On October 25, 2013, Rafael Valencia, aged 25, was fatally shot outside a grocery store in San Bernardino, California. Valencia had just left the market and was walking towards his car when an unidentified assailant approached him and shot him in the head. He succumbed to his injuries on the scene. The incident remains under investigation, with no arrests reported at the time.
