Mark Anthony Smith Jr., a 36-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on February 7, 2021, in Greensboro, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 3:06 a.m. in the 800 block of Dana Place. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Smith and another victim, Reginald Washington, 28, suffering from gunshot wounds. Both men were transported to a local hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
