Jonathan McCorkle, a 46-year-old man, was found shot to death on April 18, 2021, in east Charlotte, North Carolina. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to reports of a shooting near the 5200 block of Sharon Amity Road around 8 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered McCorkle's body in the road, where he had been fatally shot. MEDIC confirmed that McCorkle died at the scene.
