Naseem Wilkes, a 21-year-old male, was tragically shot to death on April 29, 2021, in Statesville, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. on 4th Street near Newbern Avenue, where officers found Wilkes behind an abandoned home. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Statesville Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide, which led to the arrest of 17-year-old Terrell Quaderius Powell.
