Sam McLellan Jr., a 57-year-old man from Lumberton, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on September 25, 2021. The incident occurred in the late afternoon when deputies from the Robeson County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a shooting on the 300 block of Deer Stand Drive in Lumberton. Upon arrival, they found McLellan suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to UNC Southeastern Medical Center in Lumberton, where he succumbed to his injuries.
